Great views and stunning scenery, LT has so much to offer. We loved every minute of our stay here....the skiing at Heavenly was amazing, dumps of snow and sunshine too. We stayed down by the lake, at Lakeshores Hotel, but spent most evenings along at Stateline Casinos...some wins and some losses! On the way back we stopped in San Fran for a couple of nights, which is worth a look with lots to see and do. Stay near the Wharf for bets fun. ps...you can ski in lots of different resorts around lake tahoe, like Squaw and Northstar, if you buy the area pass

Heavenly really is Heavenly! Managed to get 5 days skiing in Heavenly in mid-March this year. Where do I start?! Fantastic scenery, plenty of good restaurants, variety of terrain, warm Californian sunshine! Also able to travel around if you have a car and go to the many different resorts around the Lake Tahoe area. We tried out the local resort of Homewood which was excellent for a days skiing on uncrowded slopes, where the locals hang out! After skiing Heavenly we drove down to San Francisco via the Napa Valley to take in the scenery around there and then onto a 3 night stay in the Bay area where we visited the Golden Gate, Alcatraz etc. What an amazing holiday!
