Brecks little sister is a gem - especially for families.

Situated less than 90 mins drive from Denver International Airport, Keystone is oft overlooked by brits travelling to Colorado. Keystone may not have the size of town, ski area or variety of nightlife offered by its Vail Resorts sisters Vail and Breckenridge but it does offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy a good variety of wide open, often deserted, slopes along with a small friendly town characterised by a modern 'village' at the base of the main lifts, boasting a selection of fun bars and restaurants and the main town of Keystone which extends down valley to Keystone Lake - a natural ice rink in winter surrounded by affordable accomodations, a handful of eateries and local's handouts. Your ski pass at Keystone not only offers you the chance to nightski on the many slopes that are floodlit until 9pm but also unlimited skiing at Breckenridge and a day at both Vail and Beaver Creek, so to max the skiing possibilities, hire a car and go explore. Be sure to drop into the factory outlets at Silverthorne (5 miles south of Keystone) where the strong GB pound goes even further in stores such as Calvin Klein, GAP, Banana Republic and Nike.
