Big Mountain with excellent ski school
The two of us travelled out to Killington in Jan 2007 to experience skiing on the East Coast. Being new to skiing we opted for a few days lessons and we must say how impressed we were by the Perfect Turn ski school that the resort offers.
The mountain is big and has a variety of terrain to keep someone occupied for a week.
We stayed at Inn of the Six Mountains which provded us wth and excellent, friendly and welcoming stay, nearly forgot to mention the free breakfast which we have found to be rare in the US! This means you can fill up before going out on the slopes. The hotel also had a nice pool and hot tub to relax in at the end of the day also.
The good thing about Killington is that you can also twin the holiday with a few nights in Boston which helps make the travelling side of things easier by breaking the journey. We stayed 2 nights in Boston arranged through Worldski and rented a car to drive to Killington which takes about 3.5 hours.... driving through the pretty and compact New England villages/towns.
Wrap up warm.... it can get cold!
