Well what can I say, Intrawest the North American developer has really pulled one out of the bag and single handedly pushed the envelope on this one. Les Arcs 1950 is a "manufactured" resort in that its only 4 years old. It looks and feels like it has been ther for ages. It has by far the best ski accomadation in Europe (and maye the states). It is completely ski in ski out. It is designed for families and large mixed ski groups. The whole place is family friendly, with even the pubs and bars allowing in kids. It is pretty small, but it has one of everything.. One Italian, One Savoyarde, One Boulangerie, One Pharmacy, and it has by far the best Asian fusion restaurant "EAST" in any ski area anywhere. If you like good family skiing in a really child safe atmosphere, followed by Chicken Tikka Masala and Thai Green Curry, then book early to avoid disappointment.
