more informationLes Carroz lies at 1150m on the slopes of Les Grandes Platieres, and enjoys nice wide pistes from around 2500m. The resort has consistently excellent snow and skiing conditions, and is laid out in such a manner that the whole of the Grand Massif, including Flaine, Morrilon, Samoens and Sixt fe a Cheval can be accessed, via a gondola ride, giving a total ski-able area of 265km!
Intermediates are the best served by the whole area, although beginners also enjoy a fairly good range with long green runs in the Flaine bowl, before progressing to gentle blues. Nervous intermediates can also try the green run at Vernant to build confidence, whilst the more confident can enjoy the runs in the immediate area down to Les Carroz. Finally, experts can either explore the rocks and crevasses of the Flaine bowl, or the notorious Diamant Noir, with its narrow moguls, and the Lindars Nord or the ominously named Styx Piste, with its near 45 degree slopes.
Please note, ski passes for Le Grand Massif can only be picked up at Flaine at this moment in time.
