more informationSt. Johann's skiing is on the more northerly face of the Kitzbüheler Horn, the "snow side". So the 60 kilometres of slopes are in excellent condition throughout a long season. Starting in Winter 2007/08, the most modern snowmaking system in Austria will go into service. If required, a total of 45 km of runs can be covered in snow along its whole length using a fully automatic system in only 60 hours. Newcomers try their skill on the blue runs and experienced skiers have a mouth watering range of mainly red runs. A well-planned lift network, including super efficient gondolas, means no delays getting up the mountain. Skiers are also spoilt for choice with the number of mountain restaurants - 18 at the last count.
Skiing area Kirchdorf: 4km runs, 2 skilifts; Skiing in Erpfendorf: 2km runs, 1 skilift;
Ski passes (for 4-days and more) are now valid for 55 ski lifts and 170km of runs in the Schneewinkel area (St. Johann in Tirol/Oberndorf, Fieberbrunn, Pillersee, Waidring-Steinplatte, Reit im Winkl, Kirchdorf and Erpfendorf) at no extra charge.
And the Kitzbühel Alps Ski Pass gives access to an incredible 704 kilometers of slopes serviced by 249 ski lifts.
